FAQ

(1) Q: How much is shipping for my order?

A: Books ship FREE within the continental US.  
    Orders over $99 ship FREE within the continental US.
    
Other items ship for a flat rate of $4.95 within the continental US.

If you choose to select your own shipping method, cost will be calculated based on weight, delivery address, and the carrier you select. You may obtain a shipping quote online before checking out by filling your online shopping cart and entering your delivery zip code.  Once entered, click the ‘recalculate’ button and the page will refresh and show you the different prices for the different delivery services available for your area.

Some of our large furniture items may not be included in this offer. Items qualifying for free or flat rate shipping may be shipped by the US Postal Service, FedEx, or UPS.

INTERNATIONAL ORDERS are processed and shipped by our partner GlobalShopEx. GlobalShopEx will calculate and display shipping costs before you check out.

(2) Q: What shipping methods do you offer?

A: We offer a variety of shipping services for the convenience of our customers, both domestic and worldwide.  NOTE: Some large items made of wood, such as dollhouses, sand trays, and furniture, will have an additional shipping charge due to the size and weight of the package. The amount will be included in the final calculation you see in the online shopping cart.

USA: In the USA, you can choose Priority Mail, UPS Ground, or UPS Next Day Air, 2 Day Express, or 3 Day Select Service for faster, expedited service. Most oversized packages, and packages over 70 pounds, cannot be shipped Priority Mail. UPS Ground delivery is only available in the Continental USA and generally takes 4-7 days. Items qualifying for free shipping may be shipped by First Class Mail, Media Mail or Parcel Post.

WORLDWIDE: ChildTherapyToys.com has partnered with a trusted third-party company, GlobalShopex.com to fulfill orders for our international customers. Simply add any items you wish to purchase in your shopping cart and choose the "international checkout" option. The items will automatically transfer to the GlobalShopex cart. You may pay with International credit cards, PayPal, SafetyPay, Bank wire transfers, Money Gram or other local forms of payment. GlobalShopex will process your payment and guarantee delivery. Once your order is completed, all inquiries should be directed to GlobalShopex at customercare@globalshopex.com or 786-391-4868.

(3) Q: How can I place an order?

A: We offer four convenient ways to place your order:

ONLINE: Our online store is the fastest and simplest way to shop at childtherapytoys.com. Our site is fully secure. Credit card orders are processed by Authorize.net, a leading provider of secure credit card transactions on the web. We never save credit card numbers and do not have access to the credit card numbers of our clients.

FAX: Fax a completed order form and we'll ship your order in the next 24 hours. 

MAIL: Complete the order form and mail with payment and we'll ship as soon as we receive it. Click here to access our order form in .pdf format.

PHONE: Call our toll free number (1-866-324-PLAY). Please have your order and payment information ready.

We currently accept all major credit cards, checks, e-checks, purchase orders, PayPal and Google Checkout. Please note that checks or money orders drawn on banks outside the US need to be payable to Gary Yorke, Ph.D. Back to top of page.

(4) Q: How do I remove something from my shopping cart, or change the quantity I ordered?

A: Change the value in the quantity box to the desired number (0 if you want to remove the item) and click the ‘recalculate’ button under the shopping cart to update your totals. Back to top of page.

(5) Q: Will I be charged sales tax for my order?

A: Any orders originating from outside of Texas will not be charged sales tax, but for our fellow Texans, sales tax is assessed automatically at checkout. Tax-exempt organizations based in Texas can order online without sales tax by registering for a customer account here and emailing us proof of your tax exemption with the subject line TAX-EXEMPT ACCOUNT REQUEST.  After documentation is received we will enable tax-exempt ordering for your account and notify you by email.  If you already placed an exempt order without creating an account and need your sales tax refunded, please append your five-digit order number to proof of your tax-exempt status and either fax it to us at 512-306-1360 or email it to us here. Back to top of page.

(6) Q: Do you accept purchase orders? 

A: We are happy to accept purchase orders from publicly-funded non-profit agencies in the US and Canada, as well as from local, state and federal agencies. Orders may be placed online through our website, emailed to us at purchaseorders@childtherapytoys.com, or faxed to us at 512-306-1360. PLEASE INCLUDE A CONTACT EMAIL ADDRESS WITH YOUR PURCHASE ORDER SO THAT WE MAY SEND A CONFIRMATION ONCE YOUR ORDER IS RECEIVED, AS WELL AS TRACKING INFORMATION ONCE THE ORDER SHIPS. If placing your order online, you will need to send us a copy of the purchase order via fax (512-306-1360) or email (purchaseorders@childtherapytoys.com). All terms are Net 30. If your order is under $99.00 please be sure to include our standard $4.95 shipping charge on your purchase order. If your Accounts Payable department would prefer to be billed electronically, please include that email address on your purchase order also. Back to top of page.

(7) Q: What is your return policy?

A: HASSLE FREE RETURNS - We want you to be happy! Products may be returned for a full refund, up to 30 days after purchase. Simply call us at 866-324-7529 or email us for return instructions.  We will initiate a claim if merchandise is lost in transit or arrives damaged, and will work directly with the carrier to cover your merchandise.  

Enhanced game return policy: Ever buy a game, use it, and just hate it? Or it just doesn't do what you want it to do? Maybe your clients won't play it. Well, we have a solution. Return any used game within 90 days and receive an 80% refund. The rules are simple: It must be in the original box, all the pieces should be there, and we need a copy of your receipt. That's it. Now for a few bucks you can try any game and if it doesn't work, we'll take it back!

Sand return policy: Unfortunately, Play Sand, Kinetic Sand, and Shape-It (Moon) Sand is not considered sanitary once it has been opened, so opened packages may not be returned or exchanged.

We are not a lending library or a review copy service. Therefore, we do charge a 20% restocking fee for all returned orders over $300. Back to top of page.

(8) Q: I am not done shopping, but I don’t want to lose my cart. Can I save it?

A: Yes! There are three ways to save your cart:

[1] Save the cart page to your Favorites (Bookmarks), and your cart will remain current unless you clear the cookies from your browser.

[2] Just keep the cart page open, and your shopping cart will remain active for 21 days (or until you either clear your browser’s cookies or close the page).

[3] To the left of your total in your shopping cart, there is a blue 'Save My Cart' button. This button will open a new window that will provide instructions for saving your cart as a URL address.  Back to top of page.

(9) Q: Can I just make a list of the items I’m interested in?

A: Yes. Create a “Wish List” by clicking the Wish List button on the top, right-hand side of the page. Click on “Go to my wish list….” and create a wish list account. Now friends, families, and generous strangers will be able to order you exactly what you want! Your Wish List page is a great way to start a shopping list for your agency. (10) Q: Do you offer discounts for items purchased in bulk?

A: We may be able to offer a discount for an item purchased in quantities of 6 or more.  Please email us if you are interested in purchasing in bulk and we will be happy to prepare a quote. Back to top of page.

(11) Q: Do you have a catalog?

A: As part of our ongoing efforts to be a green company (which includes recycling boxes and packing material, as well as using biodegradable cornstarch peanuts instead of styrofoam), we do not maintain a print catalog.  Instead, you can find a comprehensive listing of our inventory on our website, www.childtherapytoys.com, where new items are added weekly.  You can also keep up with our new additions via our Facebook, Pinterest, and Twitter pages. (12) Q: Do you have an Affiliate Program?

A. childtherapytoys.com, the largest supplier of play therapy and child therapy products on the internet, now offers an Affiliate Program. The Affiliate Program is open to play and child therapy associations, and other sponsors of web sites that promote child therapy, play therapy, and sand play.
