Childtherapytoys.com was founded by a child psychologist, Gary Yorke, Ph.D. and Jane Yorke, M.A., to provide play therapy products to mental health professionals who work with children. Finding quality play room toys and games that last and facilitate therapy can be quite a challenge.  We now carry over 2,000 products selected by Dr. Yorke and the many therapists who shop with us.

We carry noncompetitive games from Family Pastimes, playroom toys, hundreds of books and games for children, puppets, therapeutic card games, and sound screens.  As we continue to grow we will be adding more self-help books, therapy games, and of course toys!

We are also proud to carry My First Therapy Game which was developed by Dr. Yorke to introduce children to psychotherapy and facilitate insight and growth as therapy progresses.

Please see our Ordering Info page on our return policy.  We want our customers to be happy! Check out our enhanced game return policy.

Feel free to contact Dr. Yorke (toys@childtherapytoys.com) if there are particular products or titles that you are interested in.

My First Therapy Game was designed by Dr. Gary Yorke, a child psychologist, to introduce children to psychotherapy using a game format familiar to children. Field-tested with children ages six to twelve years old, My First Therapy Game is Kid Approved.

Five sets of cards are included in each game: Feelings, Problem Solving, Relationships, Cooperating and Sharing, and Talking. The cards and game format are easily understood and enjoyed. While My First Therapy Game was designed with the early stages of therapy in mind, it can also be played during the middle and later stages of therapy. My First Therapy Game can be played with small groups too!

Other games by Dr. Yorke include The Social and Emotional Competence Game and The Social and Emotional Card Game (for ADHD, Asperger’s and Bipolar Disorder)
