This Sand Tray is handcrafted in Maple Wood. The lid is solid Baltic Birch. The blue paint depicts sky and water and is an exterior enamel paint for durability.
The sandtray measures 20.5 by 29.5 by 4.5 inches (inside dimensions are 19 x 28 x 3 inches), which is the standard established by Dora Kalff. The size is based on what the individual can see without turning one's head. This way, the sandtray encompasses their field of vision. It becomes the world.
The tray is painted blue on the inside to depict water and sky. The tray is suitable for dry and wet sand.
