Description: OUR NEW SANDTRAY IS handcrafted in renewable Alder wood. The lid is Luan Mahogany and trimmed with Alder wood. The blue paint depicts sky and water and is an exterior enamel paint for durability. Each tray and lid is finished with a commercial grade catalyzed lacquer, which provides superior durability.

The sandtray measures 19.5 by 28.5 by 3.5 inches (inside dimensions are 19 x 28 x 3 inches), which is the standard established by Dora Kalff. The size is based on what the individual can see without turning one's head. This way, the sandtray encompasses their field of vision. It becomes the world.

The tray is painted blue on the inside to depict water and sky. The tray is suitable for dry and wet sand.

SANDTRAY LID: Protect your sandtray when not in use. The lid for the sandtray is made of finished Alder Wood, a renewable wood. It could almost be a coffee table top! A lip around the edge helps keep sand it.
